A June 2024 r/vermont commenter wrote, "SunRun is leaving VT entirely by the end of the month." In a January 2026 Reddit post, a homeowner wrote that SunRun operates leases only, not lease-to-own, and that they were strongarmed into taking on the contract for the house they bought when the seller didn't disclose the lease.
“Stay away from SunRun. They operate leases only and it's not lease-to-own. We got strongarmed into taking on the contract for the house we purchased when the seller didn't disclose the lease during sale, we were told they were owned.”
“SunRun was way more flexible with us on that.”
“The post below had good info, not only to avoid Sunrun.”
“We use SunRun. We bought our solar panels, and pay $200 a month in debt servicing for them to VFCU.”
“talk about SunRun leaving the area”
My solar inverter had an issue and stopped working. I called Sunrun and asked, They told me they see from their end the system is not working.
