Retaining walls, drainage, patios, and yard cleanup feature in customer accounts of Sunset Landscaping. A July 2026 Google reviewer described a retaining wall and drainage system built for a deck project, saying the crew arrived on time, worked quickly, answered questions, and cleaned up afterward. An August reviewer praised communication and said the work met their timeline. Sunset describes itself as a family-owned Leicester company serving Worcester County and surrounding areas, with Michael L. Novia as its owner. Its website says it has been established for more than 24 years and offers residential and commercial landscaping, lawn maintenance, excavation, hardscaping, outdoor living, and snow removal. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. A May 2026 Google reviewer described Nate and the crew removing dead shrubs and weeds, mulching, trimming two shrubs, edging beds, and installing weed barrier. The same customer said they re-leveled a pool with stone dust and added stone and weed barrier under a deck. A May Angi reviewer reported hiring Sunset twice, with work ranging from small stones to a large patio and fireplace, plus spring cleanup. In a June 2025 Angi review, a customer said a patio was started and completed four days after receiving a Monday quote. They praised communication before work began, competitive prices, and the employees’ conduct. An April 2024 reviewer also praised the price and results of walkway and stair work. A February 2024 Angi reviewer said wet ground prevented equipment access, so the staff hauled material to the site and dug by hand. An older complaint concerns follow-up: in May 2018, a Thumbtack reviewer said they received no response after sending contact details and leaving voicemail. That month, another Thumbtack customer described Paul as flexible and said Sunset did exactly what they had hired it to do.
