Sunshine Paving works for towns and commercial property owners, not homeowners. The North Chelmsford company describes itself as a paving and construction contractor handling asphalt paving, grading, drainage, recreational facilities and trucking, and says it is prequalified by MassDOT and fully bonded. A construction trade publication in August 2025 placed it on a project laying asphalt for parking lots and an access road, alongside a precast supplier providing manholes, catch basins and a large three-sided culvert — the same shape of work the company describes for itself. The only customer account on file is a complaint, and it comes from a bystander to a municipal job rather than someone who hired the company. A reviewer in July 2025 wrote that while the firm was working under contract for the town of Chelmsford, driveways and roads were blocked at times residents had not been told about, leaving several families with cars trapped around 7am, and that a family's basketball hoop was knocked over and left on the ground. Three Google ratings is too little to place this company against anyone. If you are a property manager or a municipal buyer weighing it, confirm the MassDOT prequalification directly and ask how resident access and advance notice are handled during street work.

While completing a contract for the town of Chelmsford they blocked driveways and roads at times that were not relayed to home owners, leaving multiple families with their cars trapped at around 7 am. The company also knocked over a families basketball hoop and left it on the ground. all together rude and unthoughtful workers.
