Top Tier Hardscapes & Drainage is a Westford company that does driveway paving. In neighborhood threads on Nextdoor in May 2025, someone asked around about hiring them for a driveway repave, and the answers that came back were mixed. One neighbor called the crew clean and professional. But two others described being asked to pay in cash — one after a driveway repave was already done, another whose father wasn't told until the crew showed up on job day that payment needed to be in cash, sending him scrambling to the bank for thousands of dollars. One commenter flagged it as a tax concern. Before booking a paving job, it's worth pinning down payment terms in writing beforehand — the accounts above describe cash being sprung on customers rather than agreed to in advance.
“Yeah they just hit me up for cash after the fact. I did not like that and neither would the tax authorities”
“My dad just used them to repave his driveway. They didn't tell him until the day they showed up to do the job that he would need to pay in cash. He had to run to the bank to get thousands in cash!! If I'd been there, I'd likely have sent them away at that point, but my dad was on his own. While they did”
“Very clean and professional!”
