On the maintenance side, the praise gets unusually literal. A 2024 reviewer described a lawn mowed with no turn marks or scalped patches on a large, uneven lot; another that same year noted the crew hand-trimmed the rhododendrons instead of reaching for a hedge trimmer, then edged and re-mulched the beds. Spring and fall cleanups, pruning and seeding come up year after year.
The construction half is patios, retaining walls, front steps and walkways in stone and brick. In a June 2024 review, a customer singled out the ground being compacted before a single brick went down, to keep the new patio from settling. Retaining-wall rebuilds recur across 2023, 2024 and 2025 write-ups, usually paired with a design drawn up on site before the crew arrived.
Drainage is the quiet third leg, and it may be the most useful thing to know about them. A November 2023 homeowner with a basement flooding from collapsed rainwater drains described three drain lines, each over 100 feet, plus a retention tank and regrading, much of it dug by hand. A February 2024 reviewer was surprised a landscaping company would run interior french drains in a basement at all. A January 2023 reviewer had used them for masonry and landscaping for more than ten years; an October 2024 one described over a decade of lawn care, irrigation, masonry and design. In a January 2024 review, a homeowner said they canvassed the neighborhood and found the neighbors had all landed on the same crew.
What is worth asking about: almost nothing in four years reads as a complaint, and the closest thing is an August 2025 customer who mentioned hiccups partway through an in-ground garden-bed job, and credited the company with handling them quickly and staying in touch. Ask how changes mid-job get priced and communicated. Scheduling is the other practical question, since the 2023 emergency-drainage customer had to be squeezed into a full calendar.
The right call for an Acton-area homeowner who wants one crew for the mowing and the masonry, particularly if water is pooling somewhere it shouldn't. Confirm the registration number on your written contract and get the design and scope on paper before work starts.

Superior Landscape Crew upgraded our property line by removing some existing plants and trees and installing a living fence with a beautiful flower garden (pictured) in one area and installing a line of blueberry and raspberry plants with river birches and red bud trees in another area. I was struggling to envision what I wanted, but Mark and Roberto met me onsite to discuss my goals and designed a great solution. Abby communicated quite often about scheduling and then again during and after the job. Abby, Mark, and Roberto were highly responsive, did great work, and were very easy to work with. The team at Superior Landscaping did a super job repairing and over-seeding our lawn a couple of weeks ago. We initially met with Mark and walked him through our various landscaping needs. He gave some great recommendations and advice for how to get our lawn, shrubs, flowerbed edging, etc. in better shape. On the day of the lawn work itself the crew were super and the grass seed is germinating and growing well. We are new customers and the customer service has been great. Abby has gone above and beyond to fit us into their busy schedule, answer questions, provide additional watering instructions, etc. Great work!

We had many trees taken down in our yard and were left with quite the barren landscape after the tree stumps were ground up. We interviewed several landscaping companies and it was quickly obvious that Superior was the company to go with. Mark explained the whole process thoroughly and the price was very fair compared to other offers. The Superior crew was able to complete all the work in a day and even returned to add a layer of protection for the lawn. When we had two days of flooding rain, Superior returned once again to add additional seed. The lawn now looks great! Communication with Abby was always quick and helpful.
