Sweetly Clean Maid Service is a house-cleaning company that says it was founded in 2014 and lists a service area of Dover, Portsmouth, South Berwick, Berwick and North Berwick. A recent customer has had them in about four times for biweekly home cleanings. A recent customer said Abby and Sweetly Clean have looked after them for many years, first in a single-family home and then in an apartment. A recent deep-clean customer said the house was cleaned to perfection. A 2025 customer said the three women who came for a deep clean of three bedrooms and two baths were efficient, thorough and friendly. A 2025 customer wrote that Tyra cleaned a move-out until the hardwood floors shone, at a price of half to two-thirds of other places. In a 2024 review, a customer said Sweetly Clean attached a broom handle to a duster to reach ceiling fans in extremely high vaulted ceilings. A recent customer on a second cleaning said they charge an extra $65 for pets but do not clean litter boxes, and that the house looked more or less the same when the cleaner left. A recent customer who paid over 500 dollars said they still had to clean the walls and scrub grease off the hood, and called sending one person absurd. A 2025 customer said that a week after being offered a reclean at no charge there was still no response to schedule it, and that they were charged a regular clean instead. A 2025 customer said they were charged $62 for cancelling less than 24 hours ahead while sick in the hospital. A 2022 customer said Sweetly Clean cancelled the day before an appointment they had waited three weeks for.
We’ve had Sweetly Clean come about 4 times now for biweekly home cleanings. They do a great job and the staff are very friendly + professional.
Abby, thank you again for taking such good care of us. We have been using Sweetly Clean for many years, first in our single family home and then after we moved in our apartment. They are friendly, timely, professional, and detail oriented. Always happy to recommend Abby and Sweetly Clean.
The booking process was such a quick and easy experience. They arrived on time and were finished when promised. Service was above and beyond expectations.
I got my second cleaning from them and not the best. The cleaning ladies themselves were very nice, but not what I was expecting. They charge you an extra $65 for pets, but they don’t really do anything. I get they have to clean whatever liter makes it out of the box, and hair, but they don’t clean litter boxes or anything. Second cleaning they couldn’t clean some of the house because there was stuff in the bedroom floors and they try to avoid touching personal items as much as possible, and opening drawers, putting stuff away. If I didn’t want someone touching personal items and putting stuff away, I wouldn’t have them in my house cleaning. By the time she left, the house looked more or less the same. They want the counters clear of stuff, make sure the floors picked up. If I do this, all that’s left is vacuum and mop. I’m not paying +$250 a month for a mop and vacuum.
This is the worst cleaning company I have ever used by far I had my home cleaned for a move in move out and had to have second cleaner come to fix this guys mistake and they charged me out the ass to basically not clean a thing . Pretty sure the girl who did the reclean doesn’t work there anymore and if that’s the case I will not ever be going to them again they suck !!
