Sweezey Fence Erectors

Sweezey Fence Erectors has installed fencing around Whitman since 1969, now run by partner Kenneth P. Sweezey Jr., with the company's own site listing AFA, BBB and Chamber of Commerce affiliations. Most reviews, especially the run posted this year, describe the same thing: installers who show up on time, work fast — one reviewer's cedar-fence replacement was framed and finished between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. — and price competitively. A 2023 review said other quotes for the same job ran $9,000 to $20,000 while Sweezey came in under $6,000. But the record also carries a recurring complaint that a newly installed fence doesn't hold up: reviews from 2025 and 2021 describe fences swaying or coming loose within months of installation, and a detailed 2024 review says a fence put in during September 2023 was "falling down, rotten" within six months — with the company reportedly telling the customer this had happened to other customers too, then billing $350 without ever fixing it. A separate 2021 review described a stolen deposit and an unresponsive office. Worth asking about directly before booking: how a fence is anchored and what happens if it needs adjustment in its first year. The recent praise for speed and price is genuine, but so are the durability complaints.
