A front landing built around an existing bush is one of the jobs customers described hiring T K Biggs Construction Company to handle. In an August 2019 Angi review, a homeowner said Phil designed a landing with two steps without moving the planting, built it in a few days, and left them pleased with the result. The Ware, Massachusetts contractor's customer history spans 2012–2019, with accounts of flooring, painting, carpentry and repairs around the house. A homeowner writing in October 2015 described a larger repair project at their parents' Northampton home after a leaking sink valve flooded the first floor. Following cleanup by a separate water-abatement company, Phil and company installed wood flooring in two rooms and linoleum tile in the kitchen and half bath. The reviewer also described repaired baseboards, painting across several rooms and stair areas, plumbing work, and woodwork around the fireplace tile border. They said the job took just over three weeks and the planned house sale went through. Other dated accounts describe more focused jobs. In February 2016, a returning customer said Phil and John patched a ceiling and worked on attic insulation after a frozen-pipe leak; the customer said the patch was difficult to spot. A July 2014 reviewer said Phil and Ken answered questions, pointed out problems and installed a replacement dishwasher. An August 2014 customer praised a new hardwood floor, saying Phil arrived on the promised days and charged a reasonable price. In June 2014, another homeowner described painting and small home-improvement jobs completed within the promised timeframe after work was scheduled within a week. There were also complaints about attendance and follow-up. In May 2016, an Angi reviewer said the contractor missed days without calling or texting, charged for three workers after quoting labor for two, and left the project unfinished. A March 2015 customer liked the painting and stain matching but said the company never returned to address a problem area. Those are historical customer accounts, alongside praise for completed work from the same period. HomeAdvisor and Angi each display a 4.6-star average from 32 ratings. The company's Better Business Bureau grade is A+.
Phil was amazing. we needed a landing with steps installed on the front of our home but thought we were going to have to move a bush to make it work. Phil came out and within 10 minutes designed a beautiful landing with 2 steps without having to move anything. He built it in a few days and we are very impressed with the way it came out. Thanks Phil.
Very particular and precise about his work. Shows great pride, very good work, has good ideas, did extra work outside of contract for little to no extra cost. Very patient with customer when materials (sink, faucet, marble top) were delivered late.
Totally unreliable. Didn't show up for days at a time with no call or text. Quoted me labor for himself & helper then charged me for three men. Never made any progress & did not finish project.
We called Phil and John back for a second project to patch up a hole in our ceiling and batt our attic insulation due to a pipe leak from a frozen pipe. If I could share pictures of their work, it would speak for itself. You couldn't even tell where the patched up hole was unless you got super close! We will be calling them back again once the weather gets warmer to work on our small side patio. Excellent prices for top notch work! If you've been waiting to get work done around your business or your house and don't want to put a dent in your wallet, Phil is the man to talk to.
Overall a very good choice for my project. The employee who did my work was very conscientious and knowledgeable, as well as prompt and polite. The work was done quickly, completely and beautifully. I would definitely consult this company for any future projects and highly recommend them.
