TAMC Construction is a Weymouth-based, family-run carpentry and remodeling company owned by Terry and Alessandra Martins, in business since 2004 and covering the South Shore from Weymouth down through Brockton, Hingham, and Scituate. The written record here is unusually deep — 33 Google reviews stretching from 2021 through this spring, almost all five stars, and the range of work described is wide: bathroom and kitchen remodels, deck and railing builds, custom built-in shelving and closets, a fireplace makeover, floor refinishing, a whole-house repaint, and repair work correcting damage left by a different contractor. A striking number of reviewers are repeat customers — one family says TAMC has now done three projects for them, another describes using Terry for a deck, then a pergola, then a bathroom, and now a kitchen and second bathroom, calling the professionalism "unrivaled." A 250-year-old house with no square angles anywhere got a tile backsplash that somehow lined up perfectly, at a quote 30% under two competing bids. The one real blemish is serious and worth reading in full: a December 2024 review describes a small room remodel in Brockton where water began soaking through a newly built wall right after the job finished, and the customer says it took over a month to get a response, an attempted fix (a hole cut in the ceiling) that didn't solve it, and was ultimately told the issue couldn't be fixed. BBB's own page for TAMC lists this same water-damage and mold dispute as its sole review, on file as unresolved. Its BBB profile otherwise carries an A+ grade, though the company is not BBB-accredited and has only a short formal file there. Worth asking about directly, given that account: what's covered if water intrusion or moisture shows up after a wall or room is closed up.
We have worked twice with this company. Their service has been outstanding and consistent. I would highly recommend this company .They also installed ship lab to the roof of my kitchen. I couldn’t be happier! Next project with them will be a bathroom renovation.
We recently had Alessandra and Terry handle a full gut renovation on our home, and they were honestly great to work with. From the start, they stayed on top of everything and kept the whole project moving along without any major delays. They coordinated all the different pieces really well, which made a big difference because a project like this can get chaotic fast. Communication was easy, and we always felt like we knew what was going on.Most importantly, the work came out unbelievable! Overall, just a really amazing experience, we’d definitely recommend them.
We hired TAMC to refinish our floors and repaint our entire house! Alessandra and Terry were so communicative and super easy to work with! They came recommended for family and this is now the third project they have done for our family and we cannot recommend them enough!
I highly recommend TAMC Construction. They were wonderful to work with! They were extremely clean, professional, hardworking, patient and made sure everything was what I wanted. They did a full bathroom renovation as well as custom built in shelves. I would absolutely hire them again!
I was unfortunate to hire this company to remodel a small room in my house in brockton as soon as the job was done , water started soaking through the new wall they erected.I kept calling them to come see the water , finally the husband showed up after over a month, he told me to wait after another rain to call him, so I did , he came back put a hole in the ceiling .and left , water still soak through the wall, I called again and I could feel the wife was annoyed. Both of them showed up in December 1st and I told her this a mess here , she said you right it is a mess but we can not fix it because we did not touched the roof , I told her that I never had water before they touched the room she replied that I did not water because I did not have sheetrock,, and they both left. Now I am out close to $10000, a room full of molds. I find it unfair for this people to take my money and find every excuse to not fix it .
