A customer writing in March 2026 credited Paul, Tricia and Matt with building their custom lakefront home in Barrington. They described living out of state during construction and relying on Matt’s consistent presence on site, subcontractor relationships and honest input on proposed changes and extras. By the time they wrote the review, they had been in the home for more than five years and said the team had delivered everything promised. A separate March 2026 reviewer said they had owned their Tarkka home for about 12 years and remained pleased with its quality. In a January 2026 review, homeowners who said they had lost their house to a fire about two years earlier described Tricia and Matt helping them through the rebuild. They praised the finished house and said the team worked to get their preferred details right without excessive change orders. Another customer, writing that January, reported a project completed on time and on budget. A January 2024 reviewer described choosing Tarkka after deciding to buy land in 2021. They said Tricia and Matt helped brainstorm the home, recommended an architect and created a detailed, fair contract. Unexpected granite ledge added time and cost, and the build also encountered pandemic supply-chain and subcontractor staffing challenges.
