It describes in-house millwork and custom cabinetry, and a sideline in specialty builds — van buildouts, skateboard ramps, temporary event structures — with a sister company, Eastern Ramps, named on every page. One customer has written about the work. In July 2026 a homeowner described a basement staircase that was 'dangerous, wobbly, unsafe' and said Ryan rebuilt it to code and sturdy, quickly, inside a tight window. It is a single account, but it is recent and it is specific. The thing to settle first is the paperwork. A direct check of the Massachusetts registry returns home improvement contractor registration #200828 in the name Ryan Taylor, and it has expired. Houzz's profile still prints that number alongside a construction supervisor licence, CS-118670. Massachusetts requires a current HIC registration for most residential remodeling, so ask for the renewed number in writing before any deposit. Beyond that there is very little public record: one review, six projects shown on Houzz, and no other platform carrying the company at all. No rating is offered here rather than one guessed at from a single comment. For a small Billerica-area job — stairs, a deck, a remodel in an old house — where you want the owner doing the work, this is worth a call, and the millwork capability is unusual for a shop this size. Confirm the registration is current, ask for proof of general liability and workers' compensation cover, and ask for two or three recent addresses you can go and look at.
