TCB Hardwood Floors is a wood-floor refinisher, and Pete is the name on its own site, which says he has been doing this for a while and offers free estimates. Dust and smell were the biggest worries for a recent customer whose 32-year-old wood floors Pete refinished. That customer said Pete put plastic up to contain the dust, his heavy sander had a vacuum system, and the low-fume sealer and topcoat could be walked on in a few hours. A 2024 customer said Pete sanded and refinished well-worn soft-wood pine floors. A 2023 customer said he gave 80+ year old hardwood floors a new life. A 2022 customer said he sanded and refinished the wood floors in a house they had just bought, and removed about seven layers of old vinyl flooring in the kitchen to find wood floors underneath. That 2022 customer said Pete sent pictures every day and kept them posted on his progress. A 2022 customer who hired TCB for a living room floor and staircase refinish called the pricing reasonable. On Google, TCB Hardwood Floors shows 5 stars from 9 ratings. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0647291, as active, held by Pete Gallagher.
Pete did a fantastic job refinishing our 32 year old wood floors. Our biggest concern was the dust and the smell. My wife is very sensitive to both. Pete put plastic up to contain any dust. His heavy sander had a vacuum system that contained just about all the dust. I was very impressed with the low fume sealer and topcoat he used. What is nice is you can walk on it in a few hours. Another thing I was impressed with was Pete’s attention to detail. He’s very professional he listens to all your concerns and he treats your home like his own. My wife had no issues with the sanding ,sealer or the topcoat finishes. I would highly recommend Pete for all your wood floor projects
Pete is excellent—would highly recommend for anything hardwood flooring related and beyond.
Pete did an amazing job refinishing our soft-wood pine floors. They were well-worn and he painstakingly sanded and refinished them and they came out better than when they were new 34 years ago. Pete was very professional, knowledgable and organized - and on top of that he is a very nice guy!
Pete did a fantastic job on bringing my 80+ year old hardwood floors a new life. Great attention to detail and a true craftsman. Would recommend.
Pete is a genius! We recently bought a house and haven't moved in yet due to repairs, etc. The wood floors were in pretty bad shape. He sanded and refinished them and the results are amazing. He also removed about seven layers of old vinyl flooring in the kitchen and discovered wood floors underneath it all. He sent us pix every day (we're currently in an apt until the house is ready) and kept us posted on his progress. He's professional, reasonably priced, and truly loves what he does. We highly recommend him!
