The Clean Team is a house-cleaning business; on Angi it lists one-time interior house cleaning and tile and grout cleaning among its services. A 2026 customer said they hired Tabitha's cleaning service to prepare a 1,700 sq ft home for listing photos, was given only a rate of $60 an hour with no written estimate, and was then invoiced for 28 hours of labor, which they disputed. A mechanic's lien was filed against the property within one week of service, that 2026 customer said, and they paid $1,250 under protest to remove it and proceed with a pending sale. A 2022 customer said Tabitha was very thorough and detail oriented, and that the quality was worth what they paid.
1 Star ? Proceed with Caution No written estimate was provided ? only $60/hr. I was later billed for 28 hours for a 1,700 sq ft home, which I immediately disputed. A second cleaner was added without disclosure, increasing the cost. Before the invoice was even due, a mechanic?s lien was filed on my home, impacting my pending sale. The price changed multiple times ($1,680 ? $1,000 ? $1,380 ? $1,710). I ultimately paid $1,250 to remove the lien, not because I agreed with the charges, but to protect my closing. Lack of transparency, inconsistent pricing, and escalation before resolution. I recommend getting everything in writing upfront.
⚠️ Buyer Beware — Serious Concerns Regarding Billing Practices and Lien Filing ⚠️ I engaged Tabitha’s cleaning service to prepare my 1,700 sq ft home for listing photos. At no point was I provided with a written estimate, defined scope of work, or total projected cost. I was only advised of a rate of $60/hour. Following the service, I was invoiced for 28 hours of labor, which I disputed immediately as excessive given the nature of the work. Additionally, a second cleaner was introduced, resulting in a significant increase in cost, without prior disclosure or authorization. Despite the invoice being disputed and not yet due, a mechanic’s lien was filed against my property within one week of service. Timeline of Events: • Feb 5: Property walkthrough • Feb 13: Cleaning performed • Feb 14: Invoice issued and immediately disputed • Feb 20: Lien filed against my home • March 1 & 4: Written requests for itemization and clarification (no response) • March 11: Lien notice received; legal counsel engaged • March 20: Payment of $1,250 made under protest to remove lien and proceed with pending sale The invoiced amount was inconsistent and changed multiple times without clear justification: • $1,680 (initial invoice) • $1,000 (agreed via third-party mediation) • $1,380 (subsequent revision) • $1,710 (amount listed on lien) Ultimately, I paid $1,250 under duress, solely to mitigate the impact on my real estate transaction. Key concerns include: • Absence of a written estimate or agreed-upon scope • Material changes to pricing without consent • Failure to provide requested itemization • Escalation of charges following dispute • Filing of a lien prior to resolution of a disputed invoice I maintain documentation (emails, text messages, and photographs) supporting these facts. Based on this experience, I strongly advise others to exercise caution and ensure all terms are clearly documented in writing prior to engaging services.

Tabitha is great to work with - very very very thorough and detail oriented. Expects the best from her team and the team is great. You pay for the quality and it's worth it. It's the first team I have had where I don't come home from work and look around and don't feel disappointed.
