Rental changeovers and summer-cottage move-out cleanings are among the jobs customers described hiring The Furies for. In a January 2025 Google review, Polly Horton said she had used its teams for move-out cleaning over four years, praising flexible scheduling and efficient, thorough work. Another customer writing that month called the changeover cleanings dependable. The company says it is based in Wellfleet and serves the Outer Cape from Provincetown to Harwich. Its stated work includes residential and commercial house cleaning, carpet and upholstery steam cleaning, and vacation-rental linen rentals. The website traces its history to a cleaning business Sarah Paine Curley founded in Wellfleet in 1979; it says she acquired The Furies in 1991 and adopted the name. According to that history, Steven and Jean Lam took ownership in 2016, followed by Warren Cross in 2022. Several January 2025 Google customers praised thorough cleaning. One also described the staff as fast, while another praised prompt service and reasonable pricing. A separate January review mentioned reliability, friendly telephone service, and reasonable prices. In an April 2023 review, a customer said they had used changeover cleaning and linen delivery at their Wellfleet house for years and recommended the service. Google displayed 3.9 stars from 37 ratings, and BBB gave the business an A+ grade; its BBB profile says it is not accredited. The complaints include specific service failures. A January 2025 reviewer said cleaning times and personnel had become inconsistent during the preceding summer, and alleged that crews left a window open or neglected to set the alarm when the customer was away. A September 2024 reviewer reported unanswered online quote requests and emails. Two customers writing in July and August 2023 reported missed carpet or steam-cleaning appointments and difficulty getting a response afterward. Another August 2023 customer said linens arrived three days late, calls and voicemails went unanswered, and a promised discount never came. A September 2022 reviewer also reported a decline in linen and towel quality and complaints from their guests.
