THE KITCHEN WORKS is a Ludlow cabinetry shop — also doing business as Kitchen Works Plus, LLC at the same State Street address — built around made-to-order wood cabinets, with affiliations to cabinet makers Conestoga Wood and Bridgewood Cabinets. The clearest picture comes from a 2020 review describing a custom seven-foot floor-to-ceiling shelving unit with sliding doors, a built-in broom closet, and a replaced eight-foot kitchen island: the customer singled out how precisely the sections were joined, and said the job came in on time and on budget with good communication throughout. A second 2020 review from a repeat customer describes a wider range of work across multiple projects — garage door repair that required carpentry to shore up ant-damaged walls, new french doors, replaced trim throughout a first floor, a handicap ramp added to a deck, and, at a separate home, extensive remodeling after water damage from a failed thermostat. Both reviews are detailed and consistently positive, with nothing negative on file, but the written record stops in 2020 — there's nothing more recent to go on about current pace or pricing. For custom cabinetry, built-ins, or finish carpentry work, the two detailed reviews on file back a careful, precise builder; given how dated the record is, it's worth confirming current availability and getting a fresh reference before committing to a larger project.

We have used Kitchen Works Plus, llc. on numerous occasions: -Garage door install/repair work, which required carpentry work to shore up the walls due to carpenter ant damage -Installation of new french doors, replacing a sliding door, and new trim throughout the first floor of our West springfield home. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2aMLgY01LU&list=PLAx4QlSFJkR9srTrXTgdmmZPVkcogwgVR&index=19) -Installing a handicap ramp to an existing deck, also in West Springfield. Kitchen Works Plus, llc. performed extensive remodeling of our home in gloucester due to water damage from a thermostat failure in the winter. It was a complete renovation of the first floor of our Gloucester home, including the second floor bath. Leon Babbitt was the general contractor for the project. He was thorough, with great attention to detail. The end product speaks for itself. He designed the open kitchen/living room area, widened the hallway, adapted the bath for handicap accessibility. He communicated and coordinated with the other contractors. In an industry where integrity is often questioned, we found Kitchen Works Plus, llc. to be wonderfully refreshing and satisfying.Their attention to detail and quality craftsmanship was excellent. We are more than happy with the outcome. We would highly recommend using their services.
Leon & John constructed and installed a 7 foot long floor to ceiling shelving unit with sliding doors. Wall unit was built with 2 foot wide broom closet on one end with doors and upper cabinet. We also replaced our 8 foot long kitchen island. They improvised and met every request plus more, ie taller island, custom grooves so their is no hardware on drawers etc. I am so grateful to have a crafted in the USA maple over wood. I often run my fingers over the perfectly joined sections when walking by or utilizing sliding drawers. Job came in on time, on budget, good communications during project and my wife said she was happy the way they cleaned up daily.
