Thunder Landscaping is a Chelsea, Massachusetts crew that homeowners across the Boston area call for lawn mowing, seasonal cleanups, shrub trimming and small hardscape jobs — and on the platforms where people who actually hired them leave reviews, the response is close to uniform: fast, on time, and, above all, responsive. Owner Anthony Melendez (also listed on other records as Ronald Melendez) shows up personally with his crew on most of the jobs described, from spring flowerbed cleanups to a full walkway rebuild for one Hyde Park customer that removed old concrete slabs, leveled the lawn, added loam and reseeded from scratch. That history runs deep: 4.8 stars across Thumbtack (302 reviews), Angi (103) and HomeAdvisor (103), with 2026 reviews still describing the same pattern — a quote turned around quickly, the crew arriving on schedule, the yard visibly better afterward. One July 2026 customer got a same-day grass cut after calling around; another that spring said the price held up against six competing estimates. The gap worth knowing about is Google. There, the business sits at 3.3 stars from 21 ratings, and the one-star reviews tell a separate, consistent story from the platform praise: mostly neighbors of customers rather than dissatisfied customers themselves, complaining from 2022 through 2026 about the crew double-parking and blocking driveways, blowing leaves and debris onto adjacent yards, and — in one 2026 review — driving erratically and at high speed in a company vehicle. A smaller number of paying customers have raised real complaints too: a 2021 HomeAdvisor review describes a leaf-cleanup job left unfinished with no return call, and a 2022 Angi review describes firing the company after the owner grew confrontational with a neighbor over truck parking. None of that cancels the work itself — most of what's on file, across three platforms and five years, is customers satisfied with the actual landscaping. But the Google pattern is specific and repeats too often to wave off: crews working on someone else's property have drawn real, recurring friction with the people next door. Anyone hiring for a job with tight parking or shared property lines should ask directly how the crew handles neighboring yards and street parking before booking.
Anthony was very responsive when I placed my request and the team did a great job on the yard. We’re looking forward to working with them in the future
I needed a one time cut of my grass and contacted Anthony. He came out to view my property, gave me a quote and completed the work the same day. Easy payment through Venmo. He followed up with me afterwards with rates if I need regular cutting.
Mr Martinez responded first to my request for yard work a small project but he treated me like I was a Big project. It was a fair price and the work was done very fast and extremely well. I will hire Mr Martinez and thunder landscaping again for sure. Abd soon. Tx you for a job well done
A great way to upset your neighbors is to hire Thunder Landscaping! Their trucks double park neighbor's driveways and block in cars during the morning rush. They drag their lawnmowers over neighbor's mulched flower beds to get to the lawns they intend to mow. Inconsiderate and unprofessional.
Anthony came to quote the job and showed up the next day to complete it. Spring clean up and lawn thatching, was done to perfection, yard looks great reading for the spring and summer. Highly recommend!
