TM Electrical Contracting

The newest review of TM Electrical Contracting is its worst. In a March 2024 Google review, a customer who hired Todd after a fire said he pulled a permit, started working, was paid $8,000 and never returned to complete the work. The same customer said the work he did complete was not up to code — the microwave, refrigerator, stove and a countertop outlet were connected in one box — and that another electrician had to rewire it. Google shows 3★ from 2 ratings. The Somerset business is Todd Mello's, and its Massachusetts electrician license, held by Todd J Mello, is active. The Better Business Bureau gives it an A+, and Angi and HomeAdvisor show 4.9 from 12 ratings. The Angi reviews run from 2012 to 2022 and are positive. An August 2022 reviewer said Todd Mello is very careful and verifies all work that is done. In a May 2015 review, a customer had an electric panel replaced and upgraded and said the cost was slightly less than estimated. A May 2014 reviewer described Todd updating part of an electrical grounding system required for a gas water heater replacement with a CSST gas supply line, and a February 2013 customer said Todd and his apprentice assessed storm damage and resolved their service issues. A November 2012 reviewer had four new outlets installed in the basement and a two way switch in the garage, and noted that Todd checked his assistant's work for staple location and loops in the wiring. One December 2013 reviewer, while calling the work very good, said his clean up is a little lacking.
