Tompkins Plumbing & Heating carries a 3.4-star Google rating from 14 ratings. The Maine hvac license MS10008670 held by KEVIN J. TOMPKINS is active on the state registry. Getting a call back is where customers ran into trouble. A 2024 customer said they called and called to get something fixed and never heard back. A 2023 customer wrote that four days after calling on a Tuesday, they were still waiting for Kevin to call back; the woman they spoke with had told them Kevin probably could not get there until the next week, and the customer planned to call another company to fix the plumbing. A 2023 customer described prompt service and professional staff who were easy to work with.
Yep. I’m yet another person who called and called to get something fixed and never heard back. They swear they’ll get back to you to schedule someday in the future, and then ghost you. I genuinely wonder who the good reviews are from and how they got this company to call back or actually do the job because it must have been some kind of powerful magic.
COMPANIES NEED TO MAKE COURTESY CALLS LETTING CUSTOMERS KNOW IF THEY NEED TO FIND ANOTHER PLUMBER. People have forgotten about common courtesy these days!!!! I called on Tuesday and 4 days later I’m still waiting for Kevin to call me back. It would be nice to know if the company you call is to busy so you could call a different company. Leaving possible customers hanging is very un professional. I understand being very busy and not enough time in one day. But let customers know if you can’t help them. Can’t do dishes or laundry for 5 days with 5 people in the home so this is not helpful. The lady I spoke with was very nice and told me Kevin would call me but probably would not be able to get there until next week. That is understandable. Now we have to wait until Monday to call another company to fix the plumbing. And probably another week waiting for a plumber. I hope Kevin calls me before I try another company. I understand the company being to busy, but don’t like not hearing anything, not even a call so we know what to do. Thank you!
