I first met Mike back in 2017 when he came to repair damaged plaster and paint my ceilings after a leak from my master bathroom caused significant damage. At the time, we thought the upstairs shower repair had fixed the issue — unfortunately, it hadn’t, and just a week after Mike completed the plaster repair, the ceiling was damaged again. That stuck with me, and when I finally started tackling home improvement projects in 2026, there was no question who I wanted to call: Mike from Top Dog Painting. Mike responded to my email quickly, provided a quote based on photos I sent, and showed up exactly when promised. He immediately took great care setting up the work area, covering all of my floors (especially appreciated since I had just refinished my hardwood floors), and walking through the house with me so I could point out every concern. Kim arrived shortly after, and together they got right to work. In about six hours, the transformation was incredible. The ceilings looked spotless, the plaster repairs were seamless, and every blemish was erased as though it had never existed. The quality of their craftsmanship is truly impressive. One of the things I appreciated most was simply being home while they worked. I sat in my office and could hear Mike and Kim chatting as they worked together — it was clear they are not only a highly skilled team, but also a genuinely supportive and caring family. That kind of dynamic shows in the pride they take in their work. At the end of the day, they went above and beyond: Kim mopped the floors to pick up any dust, they bagged all the trash and supplies, wiped down the counters, and left everything exactly as they found it. That level of respect for someone’s home is rare. The work was so well done that before they left, I asked for another quote to paint my walls — because as any homeowner knows, the project list never ends. Top Dog Painting is talented, dependable, reasonably priced, and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them.

We couldn’t be more pleased with the job Mike did for us in our house in Brookfield. He was flexible and did a great job painting our living room room with a cathedral ceiling and through the dining area and kitchen. The clean up was stellar, as well. His pricing was reasonable and we expect to have him back to do more.

Outstanding painting company! Mike and Kim painted my first floor, basement and deck completely transforming my living space. Mike has a crazy attention to detail and goes above and beyond the job. Always upbeat, daily updates, super knowledgeable. My job was not easy, I had lots of carpentry work that needed to be done and Mike tackled it with a smile on his face, even when I started adding more to the job. I completely love the finished look and the professionalism that went with it. He definitely left my house cleaner than he found it. Thank you Top Dog you guys are amazing!

No doubt in my mind why Mike is always in high demand! He has a great skill set and a very strong work ethic. He is also friendly and professional, and possesses great communication skills to ensure that the entire process from start to finish is well explained and delivered with no surprises.
