A homeowner with a problem they were not sure how to solve called Top Notch Roofing in June 2026 and had someone at the house two hours later, a quote an hour after that, and a crew the next morning. Speed like that is most of why people keep calling this Lowell roofing company. Angel, identified as the owner by a May 2026 customer, is named in many of the reviews; the company says it has been in business nine years, serving Lowell. The roofs run from a shed to a century-old barn. A May 2025 customer said Top Notch replaced the barn roof, which they believed had never been replaced, with a crew that worked until sunset. A June 2025 homeowner watched a rubber roof go on in half a day. A November 2024 review is a full roof replacement in Leominster, Massachusetts, and a May 2025 homeowner in a high-wind area had two patches of blown-off shingles put right, with Angel explaining why they had gone. Gutter work shows up nearly as often as roofing. A July 2026 Thumbtack customer had a back gutter, damaged in the winter storms, repaired and replaced for what they called a reasonable quote. Another July 2026 reviewer waited for real rain before writing and said the gutter work was holding. A May 2026 client had gutters repaired and cleaned and was surprised the work started 24 hours after the estimate appointment; in June 2025 the crew repaired a drip edge and installed new gutters; in January 2026 they cleared snow and ice dams off a roof and gutters after a storm. Siding comes along with it — a June 2025 customer had roofing, siding and gutters handled together. The one sour account is from October 2024, and it is about getting them to the door: a homeowner confirmed a roof-estimate appointment twice, was rescheduled twice, and then got no call and no show. An August 2025 customer wrote the opposite — they came when they said — but nail the estimate slot down when you book it. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, 218840, is active on the state registry under Top Notch Roofing Corporation, and Thumbtack lists a Construction Supervisor licence and a 2025 Top Pro badge. A general contractor who builds high-end homes wrote in April 2025 that the crew had done many jobs for him over six years, new construction and reroofing alike. For a gutter repair, a storm-damaged roof or a full replacement, this is a straightforward call — confirm the estimate appointment in writing, and ask whether drip edge and gutters are in the price if your roof needs them.
Angel was such an expert at what he does. On time and knowledgeable. I will recommend him again and again.
They were very easy to work with, gave a very fair estimate, and I am writing this review now that we had some real rain and the gutter work they did is working swimmingly. Definitely would use them again.
