Ascend Roofing & Construction LLC

Ascend Roofing & Construction is a Lowell roofing and siding shop that's kept a real permit record with the city — BuildZoom counts 115 permitted projects for the company, roofing making up the bulk of that work along with a handful of home additions. What's less current is everything else about the profile: the small run of Angi reviews (five-star praise for a roof replacement, a customer who'd hired them twice, workers called "right on point and friendly") all date to a six-week stretch in the late summer and fall of 2020, and the company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor license (#191347) shows expired on the state registry, with BuildZoom pointing to an April 2024 expiration date. There's a more recent signal worth weighing against that: a Reddit thread from this past May names owner Danny Rivera directly, describing him as fast and fairly priced across two jobs — a garage and a house. So the operation appears to still be doing work under the same name and number even as the paper trail elsewhere has gone quiet. Permitted project volume only loosely backs that read: BuildZoom's own count shows a sharp drop-off, from 21 projects in 2023 to 13 in 2024 to just 3 in 2025. Before hiring, it's worth confirming the license situation directly with the state or the company — an expired HIC registration doesn't necessarily mean the business stopped operating, but it's a real fact to have answered upfront, not something to discover after signing a contract.
