Unique Pavers handles hardscaping, with customers describing front-yard pavers, steps, walkways, fencing and deck railings. The South Windsor company lists patios, retaining and sitting walls, outdoor kitchens and other hardscape work on its website. Its Connecticut home-improvement registration is active, and Google lists 4.5 stars from 13 ratings. A detailed April 2024 complaint concerns a front step and walkway completed in June 2022. The homeowner said the step’s polymer or grout stayed soft, that repeated requests for follow-up produced promises but no return visit, and that they eventually sought another contractor. According to the reviewer, that contractor found uneven stones, missing grout along the house and insufficient support where the walkway was separating. The homeowner described concern about water intrusion, rather than reporting that a new leak had actually occurred. The earlier basement leak they mentioned came from an installation predating Unique Pavers’ work. Other customers praised completed projects. In April 2025, a homeowner credited manager Ivan and the team with finishing a front-yard paver project on time and at an affordable price. A May 2024 reviewer praised Carl’s fence work and described the process as honest and easy to work through. A July 2022 customer also praised completed deck railings.
A great location to deliver material to! The owner is a cool guy!
Unique Pavers LLC, this Company is in a league of its own. We needed our front yard done for a long time, then we found them on google, they came to see what we needed and surprisingly, they did an awesome job. Not only they were affordable, but they did exactly what they promised, they were responsible, respectful, finished on time and best of all, the quality of their job was impeccable. If you want quality on your next pavers project, I will definitely call them. Ivan, the manager is very honest and care about quality.
Unique Pavers, LLC are in a class above the rest. The fence kept toppling over whenever it rained or when the wind blew! Carl was able to take my vision and turned it into a work of art. He and his team were very professional and easy to work with. Carl made the process a smooth one and he was very honest throughout. I highly recommend them to anyone.
After a long run of patience expended on this company I have formed the following review: After first waiting a year or so to get them out here, which they finally did after mentioning there was water leaking into the basement from the original installion of the front step (not by them), we were fine with. They have a lot of work booked and it was understandable at first that we needed to be on a list. After redoing our front step and walkway and paying for it in full as soon as it was finished, we noticed in the weeks to come that the polymer/grout on the step was still not set and spongy to the touch. We spent extra on a nice bluestone and expected only the best. We did as instructed and left the doormat off of it for even longer than instructed to ensure it has plenty of time to dry and set. My wife and I thought maybe this normal. The job was done in June of ‘22 and by the fall we noticed it was still not set. We patiently and courteously contacted the company several times, just to be blown off. We resumed this with continued patience the following spring. After numerous attempts, we were told they would make it out here before long. They never showed. All the while, we wondered if the leaking in the basement is going to come back or if water is going to seep where it shouldn’t and cause other issues. It is now almost two years later and I decided to contact them again. I heard back promptly saying that they were backed up all last year and they “may” be able to come out in a few weeks when it warms up. UNACCEPTABLE - Too backed up starting new jobs that are already scheduled that you can’t come out and button something up you’ve already been paid for? You don’t want to make someone else wait? What about me?! After thinking this over one final time, my wife and I decided out of principle that we are not going to go with this company to finish the work they started, just to possibly wait, be let down, and miss a different contractor’s window of early season scheduling. So glad that we did too because we had someone different recently come out to quote fixing this and found more problems than we even realized. The stones laid for the step were uneven and appears to have no grout ever put along the edges, which meet the house. The walkway that they also did for us is starting to separate because there was never enough support under the outside stones, nor was a needed support edge ever put in. This new contractor came highly recommended. One thing I’ve learned from being a contractor in a different trade myself, is that it doesn’t matter how small the job is, or if you’ve already been paid for it and if you are well established and can probably make more money by focusing on the next job instead of making right by buttoning up some past job, you do the right thing anyway and button up what you started.
I had some deck railing done by then and they did an awesome job
