A recent customer had Valley Home Improvement turn a basement into a family room with a bath and kitchenette, a few years after the company remodeled a kitchen and bath for them. That customer credited its use of CAD design and its work at carrying out the homeowner's own design ideas rather than a cookie-cutter remodel. The Northampton company describes itself as a design-build residential remodeler handling kitchens, bathrooms, additions, sunrooms, porches, basements and garages across the Pioneer Valley, and says it has done renovation work there for over 31 years. A recent customer appreciated the daily clean-up. A 2023 customer said a down-to-the-studs bathroom renovation took about four weeks and that the household could live and work in the house during the project. A 2023 customer said Chris and Cody, on a complete kitchen remodel, made time to meet in the mornings and again at the end of the day. A 2023 customer said the company completed a huge addition and kitchen renovation. A 2022 customer whose kitchen renovation and new bathroom covered half the first floor said the rest of the house was sealed off during demolition. On Reddit, a 2024 commenter said they hired the company twice, once for bathrooms and once for a kitchen, and praised its builder's warranty. A recent Reddit commenter called it expensive but praised its project management. A recent Reddit commenter who had worked with the company called it a more budget-friendly option but would absolutely not recommend it. Another May 2026 Reddit commenter said that when Valley Home Improvement came out for a consultation, the guy might as well have said he'd just tear it down and start over. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 105543, held by Valley Home Improvement Inc, is active on the state registry. A 2024 customer who sent a contact form for an estimate said the reply put the wait at two to three weeks. A 2017 Houzz reviewer said they met with Steve about a condo renovation and never received the estimate despite following up several times. A 2019 Houzz reviewer said a porch the company built in 2005 began to rot because work was done improperly, including a bottom railing installed upside down. That 2019 reviewer also said a second layer of asphalt shingles the company put on in 2005 was nailed improperly.
