Value Rooter is a South Berwick drain, sewer and septic outfit; its website pitches 24-hour sewer work and septic tank pumping and says the company has been in business for 23 years. A 2022 customer selling a house said Eric arrived within 45 minutes for a mainline clog, cleared it within an hour, put the dryer back in place and cleaned up, with no other services pushed on them. A 2022 customer said Eric found the septic covers under snow despite a poor drawing from the town, cleared a blocked sewer pipe, fixed a slow toilet and had the tank pumped at the same visit, at a price that customer thought fair. A 2023 customer said a badly clogged drain was cleared after another company could not complete the job. A 2026 customer, who works for a local water treatment and well pump company, said Brian cleared a main line and unclogged a bathroom sink after a long day on a hospital job. A 2022 customer said Brian came out for an unexpected emergency at one of their properties and troubleshot the problem so repairs could begin. A 2021 customer said the issue was resolved a few hours after the call, and that the mess from their own unclogging attempt was cleaned up. A 2026 customer said a plumber sent to fix a frozen pipe opened their bedroom wall without speaking to them first, ruined two rugs, left a large mess and lost their cat. Its BBB grade is A+.
One of their plumbers came to my unit today to try and repair a frozen pipe. The plumber came over and ripped into my bedroom wall without speaking to me, prior. While in the process, he managed to destroy two of my rugs, leave a massive mess behind, and he lost my cat in the process. When asked if he left the door open his only response was "no, I didn't." Horrible, horrible, horrible. Do not trust them with your plumbing, your home, nor your pets.
Brian came by to clear a main line that runs to what we believe is a dry well and to unclog our bathroom sink. He was quick to respond and was able to resolve the issue even after being stuck on a tough hospital job all day. I work for a local water treatment and well pump company, and we recommend Brian to our customers regularly. Overall, a great experience—highly recommend.
The Best in the Business!
Was recommended by my plumber. The phone response was efficient and the appointment made and kept in a timely fashion. Very professional and reasonably priced
