Nick built a dry-stacked retaining wall for a dahlia bed, and that customer said it has held up with no issues for over two years. For a rental property, Nick replaced a rotting railroad-tie retaining wall with a concrete block wall, cleared away the construction debris and graded the soil around it, that customer wrote. A 20-plus-year-old granite stair walkway that was coming apart was reset using all its existing materials, with an edge barrier on both sides and every paver cleaned. Two years later, that customer wrote, it is still level and tight. One yard got a new fence, a patio, a garden and raised vegetable beds; the customer said he took the time to talk through ideas and knew which native plants would work for their yard.
