W.B. Construction & Development builds whole neighbourhoods, then builds the houses in them. Its own description of the model is blunt: design and develop its own subdivisions and build its own homes within them, keeping control of the lots so quality stays consistent across a street. That is not just marketing. Attleboro's boards have heard the company on a 43-lot definitive subdivision at Brigham Hill Estates, an 18-lot Phase IV off Brigham Hill Road and Lewis Lane, a notice of intent for a builder's lot on Curtis Avenue, and a special permit for a residential cluster of two-family dwellings. Rehoboth lists William Ward of the company on its installers permit roll. The permit record backs the building side. A 2022 permit covers a $663,000 single-family home with garage and finished basement on Ottawa Street in Attleboro; a 2024 permit a $365,000 new house on Bishop Street; a 2017 one a $349,000 house on Ridgewood Road. Three separate $595,000 commercial building permits at 1401 County Street across 2023 and 2024 show the light-commercial side is real too. Smaller work turns up alongside: a finished basement with a half bath, porch windows and siding, a roof shingle replacement. The company says it has been building in the Attleboro area since 1986, does its own excavation — land clearing, roadway prep, foundation and septic digging — and builds to Energy Star guidelines. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, its BBB page is an A+ with no complaints on file, and BuildZoom scores it 101, in the top 12% of Massachusetts licensed contractors. What is missing is customers. There are no written reviews on Google, BBB or BuildZoom — not one account from somebody who bought one of these houses or hired them to remodel. Everything above rests on registry and permit records rather than on anyone's experience of the work. So: an established, properly registered builder if you want a house in one of their subdivisions, a substantial addition, or site work on your own land. Ask for the addresses of three finished homes and for buyers you can call — with nothing published, references are the only check available.
