Waldron Remodeling is the Quincy trade name of Waldron Contracting Services, Inc., a small general contracting outfit run by Mark Waldron that BBB lists as 24 years in business. The work people describe is old-building work: roofs, rooftop decks, historical restoration, additions and masonry on New England housing stock rather than quick service calls. The written record is real but dated. On Houzz the company sits at 4.7 across three ratings, all posted in 2016 — one homeowner that December described a rooftop deck and the roof beneath it that hadn't been touched in decades, a detailed plan and bid, permits pulled, three subcontractors coordinated on an 1860 building, and the job landing ahead of schedule and on budget. Another 2016 review covered a new roof with a skylight plus twelve Pella double-hung windows on a brownstone, calling the crew efficient and neat. A third, from a client who said she had used and referred them for ten to fifteen years, described crews that showed up when promised and estimates that held. Against that sits a customer review on the BBB profile alleging negligent and unsafe working behavior by the company during a roof replacement. BBB's redactions strip the names, dates and location out of it, so there is no way to place it in time or hear how it was resolved — but it is an allegation about the actual work, on the same trade the praise is built on, and it deserves a direct question. Worth knowing before you call: the BBB profile carries an A+ letter grade, which is BBB's own assessment and not a customer rating, and the company is not BBB accredited. Houzz prints a construction supervisor licence number, CS-083674, for the business; that is the directory's claim, not something confirmed against the state registry, so ask to see the licence and the home improvement contractor registration yourself. This is a plausible call for a period-home roof, a deck rebuild, or an addition where an experienced hand with permits and subs matters. Given that everything written about them in public is nearly a decade old, ask for recent references — jobs from the last year or two, in your town — and get the safety complaint's version of events straight from Mark Waldron before signing.
