Waste Material Trucking Co Inc is a trash hauler with deep family roots: the company says its records show Thaddeus Zommer first started it in 1937, with a horse-drawn cart used to collect food scraps during the Great Depression. It holds 3.9 stars from 14 Google ratings. A 2025 customer who said they had used the company for some 45 years wrote that, after falling behind on payments while raising three very young children, the company told them to pay a small amount or whatever they could and continued the service without interruption. A 2022 customer who said they had had the company for 24 years wrote that the trash man got out of the truck to move a neighbor's bin, which was blocked by a vehicle, so he could empty it. A 2025 customer said they had to call every week because the company forgot to pick up the trash, the recycling and sometimes both, and said it was more expensive than its competitors. A 2023 customer said the company had to be called weekly with reminders, that the trash was not picked up even after assurances from the main office, and wrote of three weeks' worth of recycling building up at home.
