Watch City Construction is Mainor Zepeda's Weston outfit, and the work homeowners keep describing is water and dirt: sprinkler systems, lawn irrigation, edging, a front walkway. The company says it has been at this about 20 years, working out from Weston across Greater Boston — Cambridge, Belmont, Concord, Bedford and the towns around them.
Its Google history is short and consistent. In a 2024 review, a homeowner wrote that their sprinkler system went in on time — maybe early — and landed right on the quote. Another, writing weeks earlier that year, said Mainor had looked after their lawn irrigation for more than ten years, always responsive and fairly priced. A 2025 review covered a front walkway and backyard edging: on time, professional, and priced well enough that the customer said they would call again. Two public records belong in the conversation before you call. Violation Tracker, which compiles government enforcement records, lists a $5,561 penalty against Watch City Construction from the Massachusetts Attorney General, dated May 28, 2020, over a wage and hour violation. Massachusetts court filings separately name Watch City Construction Corp. and its owner, Mainor Ariel Zepeda, as defendants in a former employee's state Wage Act suit. Neither concerns workmanship on a homeowner's job, but both are public and both describe how the business runs.
The state registry is the third thing. The company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 151219, is on file as expired. Landscaping-only work is exempt from that registration in Massachusetts, so for planting and mowing it doesn't bite — but the company also sells general construction, and one fence job shows why that distinction matters: a homeowner writing in 2023 described a fence built in the winter of 2021 that later drew a City of Waltham requirement to cut it to three feet at a road intersection, a limit they said never came up beforehand, and a charge to make the cut.
Call them for irrigation and yard care, where the same name and the same praise keep repeating. If the job crosses into construction — fences, structures, anything permitted — ask where the registration stands and who is checking the local code before work starts.
