Weigle Tree Services has been working in Lyndeborough since 1977, when it opened as The Wm. J. Weigle Tree Service — still family-run by the company's own account, and 49 years along. Residential tree removal, land clearing, whole-tree chipping and portable sawmill work are the stated trade, and the business later moved into selling and delivering firewood. A 2022 reviewer, 40 years into heating with a woodstove, called this the driest and cleanest split hardwood they had had delivered, and thought the out-of-area delivery fee was well worth it. In 2021 a customer ordering cordwood for the winter said the phone was answered promptly and the load arrived the next business day. An October 2025 reviewer kept it to four words: excellent quality firewood. Its Google rating is 4.9 across 8 ratings. Further back, a 2007 blog post on the regional firewood trade described Bill Weigle's Lyndeborough tree service moving five to ten cords a day at the height of the season. A sensible call for a homeowner who wants cordwood from the people who cut it, or a removal handled by a long-established local crew. Ask what delivery runs to your address, and settle insurance and the cleanup plan before any tree comes down.
“Bill Weigle's tree service in Lyndeborough, N.H., usually delivers five to 10 cords of firewood a day this time of year. He's sold only one in the past two weeks.”
Excellent quality firewood 🔥
I have had a woodstove over 40 years and can say confidentially that this is the best, driest, and cleanest split hardwood I have had delivered. Well worth the modest out of area delivery fee. They are truly passionate about firewood.
Ordered cordwood for the winter. They answered the phone promptly when I called. Delivered the next business day. Extremely professional and courteous. And the wood is excellent. Burns great!! Will use again. Thanks!
