Wellman Paving is a Winterport paving company that does driveways and walkways. On the Better Business Bureau it describes itself as handling residential and commercial paving, groundwork and snow plowing. A 2026 Google customer who says they were a long-time fuel customer reports that their driveway job was put off until rain and cold, after ignored emails. In an update, that customer says their motorcycle kickstand sinks into the pavement, that the driveway was installed 6 inches from the culvert drop-off, and that a truck collapsed the edge, which is now crumbling into the culvert. That customer says the company blamed the heat and the truck, and that they will have to sue for a complete replacement. A 2024 customer said the wait was long but the company showed up when promised, left no mess on the lawn, and left a smooth surface with a seam that is almost invisible. A 2023 customer said 8 workers did their driveway and walkway and brought a lot of equipment. A 2022 customer said the company did a double driveway and four walkways. In a 2021 review, a customer said the company cut the power to their garage by mistake but did not pursue billing them.
RUN FROM THIS COMPANY. I was a long time loyal fuel customer of theirs. I could have had my driveway done in spring but chose to be a loyal customer. My reward was ignored emails and twice I had to remind them I was a loyal customer. My job was put off till the last, worst time of year to install a driveway, rain and cold. They could not even guarantee a couple of weeks before that they would even do the job in spite of waiting for months. I will never use them again nor recommend them. They just don’t care. HORRIBLE ATTITUDE AND HORRIBLE SERVICE. AN UPDATE, 7-15-26 My motorcycle kickstand is sinking into the pavement. Several holes inches deep. I called the company and the manager tried blaming it on the heat sinking the stand in. My driveway is almost completely shaded. I have never in 50 years had a motorcycle stand sink into a hot pavement. They installed the driveway 6 inches from the culvert drop off and left 4 feet on the other side of the driveway. A truck riding over it collapsed it down at the edge and it’s crumbling into the culvert. They blamed the truck for the damage. If it had been installed safely 1 foot over the truck wouldn’t have, shouldn’t have crushed the pavement. NOT ONLY A REALLY BAD JOB BUT THEY WILL DO ANYTHING TO NOT HONOR THEIR WORK OR WARRANTY. RUN FROM THIS COMPANY, RUN FAST. So many other good paving companies. At this point I will have to sue for a complete replacement.
It took quite a while waiting (these days there are long waits for any type of work) but they showed up when promised and did a high quality job without making a mess of the lawn or surrounding areas. The paved surface is smooth, seam is almost invisible, and edges nicely done. I highly recommend Wellman Paving.
Troy is a great guy and we grew up together racing at the track back when we was just young grass hoppers in the teen division! Very laid back and smart man happy to see him take off with the paving industry and taken on the business after we all lost Scot and Libby! Good job Troy keep up the great work!

Wellman paving did our driveway and walkway. There were 8 guys all working together with excellent teamwork. Very impressive, like a "well oiled machine". They also brought a ton of equipment and got the job done very efficiently. We recommend them highly. All the guys were very pleasant to deal with. Five stars!!
