Called and a woman answered and said it’s not wellmans heating and hung up on me
Stole my money and didn’t do work.
Larry Wellman seemed good until he wasn't. We had him do some plumbing at our camp and that was okay. We had some work done at our home and that is where everything fell apart. We had both heating and plumbing work done. He asked us to pay in advance for a hot water heater and I made the mistake of paying for it and labor up front -- $1,375. He told me his journeyman tried to drop off the hot water heater, but if it happened it was never picked up on my multiple security cameras. He gave some excuses, including possible covid, and then just ghosted us. When I requested the money back, he never responded again, and tries to avoid me around town. When winter came, we found out that his "repair" to our furnace was faulty. It cost us about $1,500 to limp it through the winter and then replace both the furnace and the hot water for $14,000. I highly recommend Googling his name and checking his licenses before considering hiring him.
We hired Larry to hookup a new mobile home rental to water and hookup new hot water heater. He seemed very kind and knowledgeable to start and did the work although he did seem in a hurry. We payed $800.00 when finished and the next day we had multiple leaks from where he hooked up the water under mobile, he didn't wrap the foam or heat cord properly, didn't put in needed shut off valve and he hooked up the hot water heater backwards. We had to pay another $650 to a plumber to have it fixed properly. When we asked for partial refund(even thought it should be full refund) he got angry and said he couldn't come back to fix it because his gf was in the ER suddenly with Breast Cancer. Never heard from him again! Rip off!
