White's Heating is a Northfield heating-oil and furnace company. A 2026 customer said their furnace kept shutting off even after a cleaning two months earlier; a service tech named Pat walked them through it on the phone, called the next morning to check on them, then came out and fixed the igniter quickly. The company's website says Matt and Mandy White started the family business in 2002, and its BBB profile describes heating system installation and repair alongside heating fuel delivery. A 2025 customer said they had had prompt oil deliveries for almost a decade. That 2025 customer also said that when their oil tank was replaced, the three technicians moved rugs and wall-mounted shelves and put everything back exactly the way it was. A 2023 customer said a previous oil company had forgotten scheduled fill-ups, and that White's showed up when they said they would. A 2023 customer said furnaces were prepared the day before in all four of their apartment units and installed the next day. A 2024 r/vermont commenter suggested giving White's a shout before any of the big national companies. A 2023 r/vermont commenter wrote "Great service. Stand up people." A 2025 customer said they ordered heating oil at 0 degrees, disputed the dispatcher's word that someone had come and knocked, and was told they would have to wait a week; they cancelled the order. A 2024 customer objected to the charge for a service call in which the technician reattached a single thermostat wire, and said the owner doubled down on the charges. A 2024 customer dropped a star over the minimum prebuy amount, which they said was more than their small house needed. A 2023 customer said a technician refused to send someone unless they paid by check, and that the company then dropped them as a client because they receive fuel assistance from the state. A 2026 customer called the company greedy and said their children would be in the cold that weekend.

White’s Heating truly has the best customer service. Our furnace kept shutting off—even though it had been cleaned just two months earlier—and at first we thought maybe the oil tank was reading wrong. We added oil, but the furnace still kept shutting off. I spoke with Pat, one of their service techs, and he was absolutely outstanding. He walked me through everything on the phone, and we thought we had it running again. Pat told us that if at any point during the night the furnace stopped and we were cold, to call him. He even called the next morning to check on us, which meant so much. The furnace had shut off again, and Pat came right out. It turned out to be the igniter, and he fixed it quickly. I have never experienced customer service as good as what he provided. This is exactly why we continue to use White’s Heating—we never have to worry about the service they provide.
Very greedy company. My children will be in the cold this weekend. Ill never do business with them again
I would like to say a very huge thank you to the team at whites. Ray an Casey have been amazing to work with they go above and beyond. Very respectful and they don’t leave you in the dark they explain what’s going on. They have spent many hours here at my house and I honestly can’t thank them or the rest of the team at whites enough. Your work and your time is so appreciated. We have been customers of Whites Heating for almost a decade. Always prompt oil deliveries. This year we needed a new oil tank. When the tank was being replaced the three services technicians were beyond polite and respectful of our property and belongings. They went above and beyond to make sure our house/business was kept clean while they worked. They needed to move a few rugs and wall mounted shelves. Upon completing the job they put everything back together exactly the way it was before. Could not be happier with the service and experience we have had with them. Highly recommend
