Woodsman's Tree Service, LLC

Woodsman's Tree Service takes down and prunes trees, and by its own account works all Upper Valley towns in New Hampshire and Vermont. On Google it holds 5 stars from 59 ratings, and its BBB grade is an A. A recent customer had a large pine removed and two other large pines pruned, and wrote that Matthew, his wife and their assistant worked around playground equipment and a large shed with nothing damaged. One customer needed a splitting oak close to the house taken down; they wrote it came down without damage to the house and the wood chips were dumped where they asked. A recent customer described Matt safely removing a very large dangling limb that was in danger of falling on their solar panels. A 2025 customer wrote that Matt Nola and Sebastian Peltier sledded saws and climbing gear up a steep, snow-covered driveway to take down overhanging trees at a cabin no machinery other than a chainsaw could reach. A 2023 customer with trees, some over 90 feet, between power lines said Matt was the only one of three firms to follow up with a bid, and that ropes, pulleys and careful cutting landed one large tree on a small stump beyond a backyard ski ramp. A 2024 customer wrote that Matt Nola pruned a small orchard of apple, pear, peach, plum, cherry and crabapple trees and mulched the trimmings, for a price they called very reasonable. A 2023 customer writing for a condominium association said there were some frustrations with scheduling, though the delayed start meant Matt was already on site with his equipment when heavy snow and a wind storm came.
