Wooster Roofing is a Tewksbury roofer run by Charlie Wooster, and the thing that comes through most in what customers write is that he picks up the phone. The Better Business Bureau has had the company accredited since September 2010 and grades it A+. The track record is deep and current: 156 reviews from 2011 to 2026 across seven sources, a 4.9 average from 261 Google ratings, 5.0 from 14 on HomeAdvisor, and thirty reviews in the last six months alone, none of them negative. Most of those recent accounts come out of the winter of 2026, when ice dams sent a lot of eastern Massachusetts homeowners looking for help at once, and Wooster's response times are what people wrote about. One caller had a crew on site within 45 minutes and the job done an hour after they arrived; another had three men there roughly an hour after calling; another texted about an ice dam and had the owner call back within the hour. When ice dams caused water to leak into a condominium unit on a Friday, a crew arrived at 7:00 the next morning and came back hours later for a second unit. Several reviewers describe getting same-day or next-day service, being sent photographs of the work when they could not be home, and having driveway snow cleared as well. The other repeated theme is being told the truth about what a roof needs. In 2024 a homeowner whose insurer threatened to drop coverage over a 15-year-old roof said Charlie came out and gave honest advice rather than selling a replacement; another that year had three spots of lifted plywood that other roofers wanted to solve with a whole new roof, and had them repaired instead. A 2025 reviewer had a small leak nobody else could diagnose and had the crew out within 24 hours to find it. In 2026 a homeowner replacing shingles had a crew come the day before the job to take one shingle back to the shop so the match would be right. On full replacements, the pattern is fast execution and thorough cleanup — a 2026 reviewer got a same-day quote and a roof finished in one day, and a 2025 reviewer's crew worked 7am to 4pm and left no sign they had been there beyond the new roof. Longevity shows too: one 2026 reviewer has had Wooster replace the rubber roof over a five-car garage twice in 25 years, the first one outlasting its warranty, and another has worked with them since 2004. One practical note: on a full replacement, expect scheduling time — a 2025 customer put it at about three weeks from first call to finished roof, with the roof itself taking a day. For repairs, leaks, ice dams and shingle or rubber roof replacement in the Merrimack Valley, this is about as consistent a record as the corpus holds.

I contacted Wooster Roofing after researching many options. Charlie Wooster got back to me right away and explained the process of evaluating my issue without any pressure. His team arrived promptly and were efficient and very professional. They did an amazing job and made sure to clean up any debris. I highly recommend this company

Charlie was great he was the lowest price, his crew came out the day before to remove one shingle to take back to the shop so he could match my existing shingles. He removed my fake metal furnace stack and plywood the hole and used icy shield all the way down to the gutter. Done in 2 hours and left zero mess left behind. They been in business for 42 years doing roofs. So glad I hired them and I didn't know them prior to hiring them.

We got our roof replaced this week and it looks amazing. Got a quote same day as requested which is a great turnaround. The owner was very communicative and his crew did a great job. Finished the job in a day and cleaned up very well afterward. All in all an A+ experience.

What does a roof replacement cost in Greater Boston?

Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Wooster Roofing. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.

A square is 100 sq ft of roof surface — bigger than the floor plan because of pitch and overhangs.

Estimated range

$9,000 – $18,600

Typical roofing project around $13,800
