In a February 2024 review, a customer thanked Lenny and his crew for recommending granite for the perimeter countertops of their kitchen renovation and for fabricating and installing a large piece of quartzite on the island. In a December 2025 review, a customer wrote that the company replaced their very large island and countertops with quartz in fall 2024, handling design requests such as cabinets coming down onto the countertops and an extra slab under a farmer sink. In January 2026 a customer wrote that the slab they had picked was damaged over the winter, so they chose another that was exactly the same, and the company measured, cut and installed it in under a week, then came back to buff out scratches. In April 2025 a customer wrote that Lenny explained what a small repair to a crack in their quartz countertop would entail and that the man who came out fixed it so it could not be seen. In January 2025 a customer wrote that other stone and tile stores lost interest once they realized "we were do-it-yourselfers", while Maggie, Lenny and Josh at Zen listened and offered advice. In October 2026 a customer described tile setting and grouting for a new kitchen, with 5x5-inch squares and a herringbone tile. In a January 2026 one-star review, a customer whose countertop was replaced wrote that two requests were ignored: not to remove or damage the disposal, and to use clear caulk on the wall edge. An October 2025 two-star reviewer wrote that a 2022 job went well but a job the year before the review had poor backsplash work and incorrect measurements. In February 2026 a Reddit commenter in r/portlandme called the company easy to work with and competitively priced, but wrote that attention to detail was missing on their countertop: none of the overhang depths matched and the range opening was too snug.
