In a 2024 Google review, the writer said they called the number associated with Gem Electric and it was rerouted to a call center for A1 Dependable Electric. They wrote that Richie at A1 then called them 9 times in the span of about half an hour and kept texting. When the 2024 reviewer asked him to stop calling so many times, they said he answered "You don't want Gem, you want me, I'll do a better job", and then texted asking them to call him instead of Gem. That 2024 reviewer called the approach pushy and said they would be staying away.
I googled Gem electric and called the number associated with that company (pictured), somehow that number was being rerouted to a call center for A1 dependable electric. I told the call center I must have the wrong number and then hung up. Cue a barrage of texts, phone calls and facetime videos from Richie at A1. He called me 9 times in the span of about half an hour. I wasn't able to pick up because I was on another line and he kept calling and texting. When I was finally able to pick up I curtly said "I need you to not call me so many times" he tried to interrupt and say "You don't want Gem, you want me, I'll do a better job". I told him again that I wanted him to not call me so many times and he goes "You want electrical dont you?". To which I said "not from you" and hung up. Not to be deterred (like a reasonable person would be) he decided to text me and tell me to call him instead of Gem (pictured). Frankly if he had just called me back once and left a voicemail I may have considered him as an option, but with the pushy/predatory tactics and some of the other reviews I've seen for him: I'll be staying away.
