The BBB lists the work as excavating: land clearing, land leveling and clearing for roadwork. It grades the business A+, on a profile that is not BBB accredited, and the company is listed as a Methuen Chamber of Commerce member. The licensing picture is the thing to settle before you go further. The state registry shows Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration 109631 as expired. BuildZoom lists the same registration as inactive, along with Construction Supervisor licences CS-020596 and CS-030011, all described as at one point cancelled, and it flags the profile with an explicit "no active license on file" alert and a BuildZoom score of 0. Some Newton building-contractor licences on the same profile were last verified with a December 2022 expiration. On the work itself there is very little published. Google shows five stars from three ratings, and the single written account, from February 2024, reads only "Great guys to deal with." BuildZoom reports no customer reviews and the BBB shows none either. That is not a basis for rating the workmanship. If you are considering them for excavation or site work, ask directly which registrations are currently in force and get the numbers so you can check them with the state yourself — Home Improvement Contractor registration matters for residential work, and the record here shows it lapsed. Ask for references from jobs in the last year or two as well, since almost nothing about the work is published.
