Timothy A. Giard & Son Plumbing & Heating has been running out of North Andover since 1983, and it still shows up as a family operation — Timothy Giard as owner, his son Jeremy handling much of the fieldwork today. Across 33 reviews from 2021 through this year, every one five stars, the recurring theme is speed: reviewers keep describing a technician on-site within the hour, even for holiday and after-hours emergencies. Several accounts describe genuine emergencies handled well. In a November 2025 review, a gas leak into the house was diagnosed and fixed within 10 minutes of Jeremy's arrival — he beat the utility company's own rep out the door. In a 2023 review, a customer described a burst hot water heater flooding a basement the day before Christmas; the owner came out personally to control the leak, and a team followed to replace the tank and correct code violations left by a previous installer. In a December 2024 review, a customer whose upstairs heat failed the night before hosting holiday guests said Jeremy was there within an hour and had the system running again the same day. Boiler and heating-system installs come up repeatedly too — a January 2026 review describes a full steam boiler replacement finished in a single day during a cold snap — alongside tankless water heater installs, whole-house water filtration, septic pumping, and smaller plumbing repairs like a toilet and backwater-valve fix. Office staff (reviewers name Ally, Aly, and Ali across different reviews — likely the same person) get called out specifically for keeping customers updated and moving quickly on scheduling. The Massachusetts master plumber license is registry-verified and active, and the company carries an A+ Better Business Bureau grade, though it isn't BBB-accredited. Worth noting: BBB's own profile lists the firm as a single-employee operation, which sits oddly against reviews naming several different plumbers (Jeremy, Mike, Vic) doing the work over the years — likely just stale BBB paperwork rather than anything to worry about. Giard is a strong call for a plumbing or heating emergency in the North Andover / Merrimack Valley area, or for a boiler, water heater, or septic job handled by a crew that's been doing this locally for decades. The company's own site also lists a New Hampshire plumbing license, worth confirming directly if hiring for a job across the border.
On time, knowledgeable , professional. AC yearly service.
Very trustworthy. Great communication, high quality service, and very competitive pricing.
These guys were fantastic. I was in a bad position with another HVAC company for two months (including serious safety issues). These guys fixed my issue within 24 hours, explained everything efficiently and were total professionals. Highly recommend.
Tim Giard has been servicing our home for 20+ years. They respond to all emergencies 24-7. Tim and his entire team did an amazing job replacing my old steam boiler during the coldest days of this winter last week. They got the entire system up and running in one day. It was a huge job but they wanted to make sure we had heat as soon as possible. I can’t thank them enough for their hard work and expertise. They are honest, thorough and do excellent work!
I had a gas leak coming into the house. Jeremy was here in 10 minutes (before the Eversource Gas rep had left.) He immeditely diagnosed the problem (not a joint, but a corroded pipe coming into the house) and fixed it. I can’t say enough about the speed, efficiency, and professionalism of Jeremy. The “& Son” on the truck should be much larger!
