A Concrete Answer is the company Cape homeowners with a wet basement keep getting sent to -- by plumbers, by home inspectors, by neighbors who used them years ago. Across 50 reviews from 2022 through early 2026, the pattern barely varies: cracks in a poured foundation, water finding its way in during a storm, and A Concrete Answer tracing the source and sealing it, often where someone else had already tried and failed. Owner Dave is named directly and repeatedly. In a February 2026 review, a homeowner selling their house described Becky responding to calls and emails instantly and Dave fitting them in on short notice after an inspection turned up an issue. Earlier reviews describe the same responsiveness -- diagnosing a leak "in one trip," explaining the problem before starting work, and returning calls quickly when a customer needed follow-up. Beyond crack sealing and waterproofing, reviews describe concrete cutting and coring work: cutting a foundation for walkout-basement windows, coring a beam ledge in a crawlspace, cutting a floor for new plumbing, all described as clean, on-time, and left tidy. What makes the pattern credible is how many reviewers wrote back in afterward. One customer noted their basement had stayed completely dry more than a year after the repair; another said a crack fixed "a few years ago" never leaked again. That kind of follow-up praise, well after the sale, is harder to fake than a five-star rating alone. One thing worth asking about directly: Massachusetts's registry shows the company's home improvement contractor registration as expired. It's worth confirming their current registration status and any insurance directly before signing a contract, especially for a larger structural repair. Beyond Google's 5-star average from 74 ratings, Porch independently shows 4.8 from 28 ratings -- a second platform telling largely the same story. For a leaking basement, cracked foundation, or a concrete cutting job on Cape Cod, this is about as deep and consistent a run of specific, credible praise as this kind of niche trade gets.
Hands down one of the best companies on the Cape. Don’t look elsewhere. We are selling our home and had an “issue” arise from the inspection report. Becky responded to my phone call and emails instantly and Dave, the owner, fit us into his schedule immediately to take a look. Dave was honest and said there was absolutely no issue and would not accept any form of payment for the evaluation. Wonderful company run by great people which is uncommon nowadays. Thank you!!!!
