A Perfect Move, Inc. is a moving company with a 4.4-star average from 79 Google ratings and an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau. A recent customer hired the company to move an upright piano locally; the three movers found it too heavy to maneuver without possible damage, called a fourth person, and the piano was moved without incident. A customer relocating to a newly built home says the movers put down carpet and wood floor covers and padded doorframes and stairwells, across a move with multiple stops. That same customer says particle board and IKEA-like furniture is not covered under the damage policy, and one piece had a small amount of damage. Three movers took one customer's mother into an assisted living facility, and the bill came in right on the office's quote. A customer who booked through Hire a Helper gave two stars: the movers were nice and hard working over a 6+ hour move, but the customer had at least 10 phone calls with the back office on moving day, said staff tried to get them to pay more than needed, and got a refund of unused time once the move was done. A customer whose TV was packed in its original box says it no longer worked at the new location because of damage on one corner, and that the claims person first blamed an uninvolved third-party mover and then the customer. A 2026 customer who booked through HireAHelper said Erin, on the phone, pressured them to pay for an extra hour as the appointment was ending, and that A Perfect Move refused to refund the overcharge after HireAHelper confirmed only 30 minutes of legitimate overtime. A 2025 customer said a marble coffee table was shattered, a wall was dented and half of their winter coats were left at the old address on a $2,000 move. A 2023 customer said the movers lost control of a heavy dresser on a stairway and put a hole through a painting on the wall, and the company paid $25 in damages. A 2024 customer said the company packed them up for a move from ME to CA and nothing was damaged in the 3000 mile trip.
The movers were great - nice, hard working and fun to work with during our 6+ hour move across town. The process to find and book the service through Hire a Helper was easy enough, and I had good interactions with everyone on that side of the transaction. My two star review is due to the 24 hours leading up to my move, plus the negative interactions and mismanagement of the back office staff at A Perfect Move on moving day. I had at least 10 phone calls the day of my move with them, which is weird considering Hire a Helper is supposed to act as a liaison and make a smooth experience - that is their whole service offering. The staff at A Perfect Move don’t like Hire a Helpers policies, and attempted to manipulate me into paying more money than I needed to, ultimately resulting in a refund of unused time once my move was complete. I read a review of this happening to someone else, and sure enough it happened to me, too. They were at times rude (Erin and Dan) and didn’t seem to understand that they were interrupting me trying to move by these multiple phone calls. I also noticed the owner called the movers many times throughout the day, interrupting them while they were working for seemingly no good reason. Moving is stressful enough without having to deal with nonsense. I would not recommend them.
They are very professional. Everything went very smoothly. They were very good at communicating with me and handling sensitive or fragile items with care. The office was very easy to deal with when booking the move. Everything was very clearly explained, including the fee structure. An estimate was provided which was very close to the actual cost of the move. No surprises! Everything happened right on time and the movers were great! I highly recommend A Perfect Move for your moving needs!
They packed our TV into the original box and at the new location it no longer worked due to damage on one corner. A very unfriendly claims person shifted from one position to another in refuting the claim mixing up and inventing details along the way. First she cited an uninvolved third party mover who would be responsible and then claimed it was our fault since we provided the original TV box they used for packing. We had used them a few times prior and were very happy with the actual guys who came to work but will never use them again. I recommend the same to everybody else
Three young gentlemen moved my mother into an assisted living facility yesterday. They couldn’t have been more polite, friendly, hard-working, and they were on time. They took great care with my mother‘s belongings, being sure that they traveled safely. The office staff quoted us a figure which was incredibly reasonable and when the bill came, it was right on. I’ve heard nothing but great reviews and thought we’d give it a try for the second time with great reviews of the first as well. Thank you
My finance and I recently used A Perfect Move to relocate to our new built home. I could not be more impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail that the administrative staff and movers applied to our moving day. We emphasized that the home was a new build and truly wanted to protect it, they went above and beyond with carpet and wood floor covers, as well as padding doorframes and stairwells to ensure that no damage was done to our home. The move also required multiple stops and they were efficient at each stop. Pricing is incredibly affordable as well, I was very surprised how low the cost was. Only word of caution is that particle board and IKEA like furniture is not covered under their damage policy, though they do take extra care to attempt to not damage these. We did have a small amlunt of damage to one piece that was discovered, but not overly significant. So if the majority of your furniture is in this class, that should be considered. I suspect all companies are like this however. But would absolutely consider them again, and you should too!
