A May 2026 Google reviewer remodeled their bathroom with Abatiello Design Center, got help picking tile from Val, and credits Isaac with the tile installation. On Houzz the business describes itself as a flooring contractor in Rutland offering hardwood, carpet, laminate, tile and vinyl, and its website cites 19 years in business, lists free estimates and says it is insured. Its Vermont contractor registration (174.0000062) is active on the state registry. It holds 4.8 stars from 47 Google ratings. A May 2023 reviewer had new flooring laid throughout their apartment and called the installer and his helper hard working and meticulous. In November 2023 a reviewer said the company did several projects for them, from new bathroom tile to refinishing their wood floors. In January 2026 a customer on a tight budget wrote that a worker named Tiger and the team installed a rug for them, and that the owner worked to make it affordable. In February 2023 a reviewer had a tile surround and mantel installed for their fireplace and praised the two installers. In June 2023 a reviewer said the tile crew cleaned up well when the job was finished. A December 2023 reviewer had a backsplash done in their kitchen and bathroom. A January 2026 one-star reviewer says the owner was not welcoming, that the company claims an end-to-end process with carpenters, electricians and plumbers but split the pricing into separate contracts, and that their questions went to carpenters who did not respond. A Reddit commenter in January 2026 said Abatiello claims to employ its own contractors and plumbers, but the contractor's quote they got was separated. A January 2026 four-star reviewer praised the workmanship but said the project took far longer than expected and that many delays seemed avoidable with better communication between contractors.
“Abatiello, on the other hand, claims that they employ their own contractors, plumbers, etc. However, when we got our quote, the contractor's quote was separated. This runs contrary to Abatiello's sales pitch for why they are different and better. Not to mention, any questions we had on the work resulted in a "go ask the contractor" response. Getting any sort of answer was way too difficult. In general, their approach isn't nearly as collaborative as Rotella's.”
Had a great experience with them remodeling my bathroom, including help with picking tile (Val is great!) and the tile installation was expertly done (shout-out to Isaac!).
Best of the Best!
Quality workmanship. Took far longer than expected to finish the project. Need to move away from paper to computer design and inventory tracking for the customer. Many delays seem could be avoided with better communication between contractors. Those responsible want to get the job done right.
The owner acts as though he doesn't want your business and my interaction with him was not welcoming. They claim to run an end-to-end process with carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc. but the pricing is split between different contracts making it feel very disjointed. Any questions would get directed to their carpenters who wouldn't respond. Friends had warned us about their unresponsiveness and they were right. This left us with no confidence in the process.
I had the best experience with Abatiello Design.. I did not have a huge budget and I was very skeptical I could afford this incredibly highly thought of company. I WAS SO WRONG. The owner of the company and this magician employee Tiger worked very hard to accommodate me. It was within my ability to afford it and Tiger and the team came in and installed the rug without any stress or fanfare. Job done to perfection and i was so overwhelmingly grateful and happy I have no qualms recommending Abatiello Desogn Center. You will be in good hands. Ask to work with Tiger if you can, such a nice honest humble guy. Go team Abatiello!!!!!
