In December 2025 a Google reviewer said Patrick and his crew built a large addition on their family home that had to tie in to an existing structure and its architectural style. Hudson Design and Build, which customers also call Hudson & Sons Construction, is a Killington, Vermont builder, and its website lists a service area from Killington and Woodstock to Ludlow, Bethel and Royalton. Its Vermont home improvement contractor registration is active, and it holds 5 stars from 32 Google ratings. A September 2026 reviewer said they are very pleased with their Hudson Design and Build home, credited Patrick's design suggestions, and named Justin and Caedin as on the build from start to finish. The same December 2025 addition customer said the project involved learning and growing pains with budget and staffing, and that Patrick worked with them on the budget. In December 2025 another customer hired Pat for a floor with corner angles from 12° to 72°, blended from four types of hardwood. In March 2026 a customer said Pat and his team addressed water damage to their house and changed the room layouts in the kitchen and upstairs bathroom. In an April 2024 review, a reviewer who spent a career in construction said Hudson built an addition to their log cabin, with Dave and Jake as the crew. A 2023 customer said the company built two houses for them, the first in 2017. In a 2023 review, a customer described a 2022 pipe burst in their 1847 house that led to a new kitchen ceiling and a kitchen and bedroom renovation. Customers in 2022 and 2023 said Patrick's crew remodeled their kitchens. In July 2024 a customer said the company took on a large motel renovation and built custom wood features in the rooms, and in December 2022 a customer had Hudson & Sons build out a commercial bakery. In April 2024 a customer said Patrick created living spaces in a 100-year-old repurposed barn; they called it a long process with bumps in the road, and said he made things right.

We are very pleased with our Hudson Design and Build home. The overall construction and finish reflect very high quality and pride in the work produced. Patrick's vision of the home and design suggestions were invaluable as we moved through the process. The on-site team , including sub-contractors , were highly skilled, professional, and easy to work with. Justin and Caedin were on the build from start to finish and were exceptional.
Pat and his team did a great job addressing water damage that occurred to our house in December, 2024. We also made changes to the room layouts in the kitchen and upstairs bathroom. Pat was very helpful during the design phase. Workmanship was top notch and the team was very helpful in all phases of the project. We were very happy to work with Pat and team to a successful conclusion to what was a very difficult job. We highly recommend Hudson and Son’s for new builds and/or renovations.
Patrick and his crew built a beautiful, large addition on our family home. It was a complex project that involved tying in to an existing structure and meshing with its unique architectural style. It was truly so helpful to have Patrick’s builder- and designer-eye for this project. We are very happy with the final product. In addition to being a very good designer, I would also note that Patrick Hudson is very good guy. Our project involved some learning and growing pains with regard to budget and staffing. Patrick worked with us as much as possible on the budget and used our feedback to completely improve his company’s processes. Building in Vermont is both tough and much needed. I’d say our region is very lucky to have Patrick and his team both for their work ethic and for the beautiful product they create.
I hired Pat to tackle an extremely difficult floor design that had several different corner angles ranging from 12° to 72°. Not only did he perfect each cut, he used 4 different types of hardwood and blended them together, creating an eye popping design! Thanks Patrick! :)
