A May 2025 Google reviewer handed Acadia Building Company a house their grandfather, a Bar Harbor contractor, built in 1958, and asked for a brighter, more open plan, a more functional and integrated kitchen and better energy efficiency. They wrote that the company "100% realized our vision," called Dylan Anderson "a master builder and an excellent communicator," and said carpentry at that level "is certainly an art." The Bar Harbor company describes itself on its BBB page as a custom home construction and renovation business offering design-build work, and its own site says it has been in business 25 years. The site lists a service area of Lamoine, Hancock, Bar Harbor, Mount Desert, Southwest Harbor, Tremont and Trenton. In July 2026 a Google reviewer wrote about a new bathroom design, saying the team "listened to every detail we wanted" and created a modern space. In July 2025 one Google customer said the owner, Dylan, was "open to my ideas" and that they have more work they would like to do; another customer that month credited the company with "constant communication." In October 2026 a customer wrote that they have been working with Dillion for about six years. Acadia Building holds an A+ grade from the BBB and is accredited there, and it has 4.5 stars from 8 Google ratings.
I have Been working with Dillion for about six years, I have him to be a pleasure to deal with and all around top notch person.

I was very satisfied with Acadia Building Company. They were reliable, honest, and easy to work with. I worked well with the owner Dylan. He was open to my ideas and helped them go from a dream to reality. We have more work we would like to do and we would not hesitate to use them again.
Acadia Building is a quality home construction company that takes in what the customer wants and translates that into a finshed product. Attention to detail and constant communication was greatly appreciated.
Dylan Anderson and his team at Acadia Building exceeded our expectations in redesigning and modernizing our family home to meet the needs of a new generation. My grandfather, an esteemed Bar Harbor contractor, built this house in 1958. We wanted to respect its origin story as well as create a brighter, more open plan, a more functional and integrated kitchen, and improve energy-efficiency overall. Acadia Building Company 100% realized our vision. Dylan is a master builder and an excellent communicator—a rare combination. The care, the attention to detail, the quality of materials used, and the focus on aesthetic and structural integrity made the arduous process of remodeling feel like a thrilling adventure. Carpentry at this level is certainly an art; sometimes it approaches magic. We could not be happier with the house and the choices we made with expert advice from Dylan—and I know my grandfather would be proud.
