Ace Handyman Services Metro Boston Melrose

Juan's name is the one customers keep writing down. Ace Handyman Services Metro Boston Melrose, a franchise location in Malden, Massachusetts, holds 4.9 stars from 142 Google ratings, and review after review since 2024 credits Juan for the work and Eric Smoller for the planning and scheduling. The jobs are the everyday list. In 2025 and 2026 reviews, customers describe storm doors replaced and reinstalled, tricky interior doors swapped, a soffit repaired after a squirrel chewed through it, siding repaired on a building, an old wall AC unit removed, front steps and a porch repainted, and window AC units put in. A March 2026 customer said Juan replaced leak-damaged particle board under a kitchen sink with better wood and proper support, and another that month had drywall repaired and a ticking bathroom vent diagnosed. Bigger work shows up too: a July 2025 kitchen renovation, a September 2025 bathroom refresh with a recessed medicine cabinet and vanity, and a May 2026 job that covered most of a house's interior painting, carpentry and new light fixtures. A March 2026 reviewer said quotes and scheduling were handled digitally, with notifications when the crew was on the way, and a May 2026 customer who worried a larger-name company would subcontract the job out said talking with Eric eased that concern. In August 2022, a 1-star reviewer said the staff did not want to help and seemed to feel the job was beneath them. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #204172, held by Eric J. Smoller Enterprises, Inc., is active. The BBB gives it an A+ and lists a one-year workmanship warranty.
