A July 2022 customer had a house with a significant amount of wood rot to deal with before it could be painted, and had spent years calling contractors who either didn't show or never came back with the estimate they'd promised — then a neighbour referred them to CASS Construction. The company works out of Everett, and its Thumbtack profile lists five years in business and 383 project photos. The written accounts run from March 2022 to March 2023, and what they describe is carpentry and repair work around the house rather than any one trade. In an April 2022 review a customer had a floor installed, carpet replaced with stair treads and damaged wood repaired, with an estimate that didn't break the bank, a start date and a completion date set, and the crew showing up on time and working ten-hour days. Another April 2022 customer had two bathrooms painted along with the doors, new door knobs fitted and new flooring laid in both rooms. A third, the same month, listed raised garden beds, landscaping, miscellaneous repairs and carpentry, and called the pricing excellent. Three reviewers name the same man, spelled Cezar, Ceasar and Cesar between them; the March 2023 one called him the best at carpentry. Quotes and timekeeping come up more than once: a March 2023 review says the company arrives on time and finishes inside the time frame it quotes, at an affordable price, and a March 2022 Thumbtack customer cited quality, transparency and a fair price. One thing to clear up before signing: the state registry shows the company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #204731, as expired. For floors, stair treads, door and trim work and the running list of repairs an older house generates, the 2022 and 2023 accounts describe a crew that named a date and kept it. Ask where the home improvement contractor registration stands now, and get the start and completion dates written into the estimate the way that April 2022 customer did.
