Despite the name, Advanced Solar Protection is about sun control on windows, not solar panels. The Plaistow company describes itself on Houzz as an authorized dealer of Vista Window Film that, for over 25 years, homeowners, architects, interior designers, museums and historical societies have trusted with their sun control issues, offering residential window tinting and commercial window work. Houzz lists custom blinds and shades, awnings and awning installation, window tint and window treatments, and BBB lists glass tinting, coating and awnings. Its Houzz profile also lists LLumar/Vista window film, Lutron, QMotion, Somfy and Hunter Douglas certifications, and shows 6 projects. The written reviews date from 2016, both on Houzz, where it holds 5.0 stars from 2 ratings. In a July 2016 review, a customer had their window film replaced after about 11 years; the installer accidentally broke a window in their apartment, and the company immediately said it would pay for replacing the glass, then came back after that was done to put the film on that pane at no extra charge. A September 2016 reviewer described Joe Rensa as knowledgeable, easy to work with, quick to turn work around, and willing to find a solution when he does not have one in his product line.
Joe Rensa is knowledgeable, easy to work with, has a quick turn around, and is willing to find a solution when he does not have one in his product line.
Advanced Solar Protection is a very good company. Their product works as advertised and they give good service. We had the film replaced after 11 years or so. In doing the work the installer accidentally broke a window in our apartment. The company immediately said they would pay for replacing the glass, and then came back after that was done to put the film on that one pane, at no extra charge. All the people in the company are friendly and reliable - a pleasure to deal with.
