(Yes I understand it is alittle over a year later after his passing) Out of respect for his family, they wanted me to wait to post this publicly after sometime has passed. I know that current customers that were on open contracts are aggravated and upset, we understand and we are sorry for the long notice and wait. All contract paperwork was given to a family member and you will be contacted in a timely manner (if you haven't been already). No further information and or questions will be answered...John was very ill the past couple years and he lost the battle....John you will be missed, rest easy buddy...... John's place of business/home has been demolished. Nothing but a empty lot now...Truly a tragic loss and lost for words to this day. NOTE: I made a Anonymous email account due to I do not want my personal name or information to be dragged into any court disputes because of his passing. I do not need that on my plate, It has nothing to do with me. Thank you for understanding.

Such. A. Scam. Wish I would’ve read reviews first but we needed someone in a pinch and he was the first one available. I know why his schedule was so wide open bc he is a crook, loser and a liar. If you like to donate $1800 to this guy and then never have him provide work, then he is your guy. After the endless lies, not showing up, blocking my phone number and now his phone line is disconnected. 1 star rating is generous.

DO NOT hire this man. I wish I would have read his reviews and complaints with the BBB before I started this long draining journey. John originally gave me a quote to seal my front steps for $875. However it was still winter and snowing. He continuously told me he would come out on days that it snowed. He was quick to take my deposit and spend it the same day. Once the weather got nice we made several appointments. He canceled 9 times in 14 days. I heard excuses that he was in the hospital admitted for 2 weeks for emphysema, his cancer came back, he had a tumor removed, he got an intestinal infection. Then he canceled because he had food poisoning. He eventually came to finish the job 12 hrs before it down poured. He made a scene in front of my house that my neighbors discussed with me. Swearing throwing things. He sent me threatening messages to finish paying him. In the end I shorted him $75. He told me he is filing for a lien against my home for the 75 bucks. Even though no contract was signed for my steps. The only contract that we ever signed was for a different job that he NEVER showed for. His start date and finish date is listed on the contract and due to his poor health he couldn't come. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN.

This guy is a rip off! I have been waiting 4 months for him to fix my wood burning stove. Keeps saying he will come next week.....no shows, no communication... He was quick to get half payment for it! Don't get work from him! Unprofessional, Tells sad story of having cancer, his sister.....blah blah. He won't do it right, he won't pull permits..... Thank god for reviews, to save the next person from getting ripped off by this guy.

We had Affordable Masonry rebuild our chimney vent after we purchased our house. They were very friendly and did a good job, that was until our oil company did their inspection and discovered that there was a pile of dried concrete that spilled during the chimney build and was slightly blocking the vent. We called Affordable Masonry and they scheduled a time to come out and fix it, and they never showed. Called them about a dozen times with no call back. Eventually we got a hold of them, but only when we needed our chimney cleaned. Obviously they only will come out when they know they're going to make money, not to fix their mistake. That was in October of 2015. As of writing this review January 2016, have made over eight appointments with them that they've never showed for. Cannot recommend them based on our past experience.
