Allen Young Movers is a moving company listed at 101 Sprague St #1 in Hyde Park. The available written history is dated, with two Google Reviews accounts from 2020 and 2021, alongside a current Google listing showing 4.5 stars from six ratings. In a February 2021 review, a customer described a short local move handled on time and professionally, with heavy older furniture wrapped carefully and moved with respect. That account points to care with difficult items and dependable execution on that job. A separate April 2020 review was substantially less positive and advised future customers to keep every conversation in writing or on video and read all terms closely. That specific warning is worth discussing before booking, including how estimates, scope, responsibility for damage, and any changes will be documented. Allen Young Movers may be worth considering for a local move where careful handling of heavy furniture is important. Confirm the written estimate, insurance and damage procedures, timing, and all agreed services before work begins.

Allen young was awesome to work with! They moved me just across town but they were on time, professional, and took great care and respect of my furniture. I have some very heavy old pieces and they moved them and wrapped them perfectly. I couldn’t have asked for better movers!
If you are reading this review then you most likely are considering Allen Young Movers. Below are some tips that may help you to have a better experience than we did. - Make sure to have every single conversation with them on video or in writing. - Make sure to read every word of every single document they provide before signing anything. - Make sure to have photos, insurance, appraisals and receipts for all of your items. - Make sure to transfer any invaluable family heirlooms yourself. - When your belongings arrive at your destination, open every single box and unwrap and inspect every single item before signing off on the load. - In the event that you need to file a claim, expect it to be thrown over the fence to their national affiliate and be prepared to wait for them to process due to their “backlog of claims” (their words). - Consider choosing another moving company.
