Precision Moving Company, out of Somerville, has built a customer base that keeps coming back — many of its reviews since 2021 are from repeat customers, some on their second or third move. People hire the crews for ordinary local and long-distance household moves around Greater Boston, often ones with a tricky building attached. The last six months of reviews read like a highlight reel of hard access points handled well. One crew got a couch and a king mattress up to a 6th-floor Back Bay condo when the customer doubted it would fit. Another booked during a snowstorm, and movers Jonathan and Christian drove ninety minutes each way rather than push the date, sending ETA updates along the way. A two-state move arrived with "big, unwieldy family heirlooms" intact, and one customer needed a bulky dining table relocated mid-move to a different room entirely — the crew just did it. Reviewers name the same people repeatedly: Chris, Christian, PJ, and co-owner Mike, who handles quotes and scheduling directly and gets credited by name for staying reachable throughout. On pricing, recent reviewers specifically note being charged close to the original quote with no add-ons — worth confirming for your own move, since hourly moving jobs commonly run over. This reads like a shop built on repeat business in one metro area rather than rapid growth — the kind of mover people call again rather than shop around for. For a local or regional move, especially one with stairs, narrow doorways, or a tight building, the recent record backs the call; confirm your quote and crew size ahead of time.

Chris and Christian were professional, fast and courteous movers. Furniture was disassembled, wrapped in protective blankets, transported and reassembled onsite safely. I highly recommend their service. Price was good for a small move.

This is my second time using Precision Moving Company for a move, and they continue to be fantastic. The company has been incredibly communicative, reliable, and friendly each time. I had to store my items for a few days between leases and had no issues on either end of the move. Ngadi, Brian, and Javier were careful and efficient moving my furniture and boxes, and made sure I was happy with where everything went. Thank you again!

What does a move cost in Greater Boston?
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Precision Moving Company. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
